Photo Studio Intern

During my time as the Photo Studio Intern, I supported photographers in styling an array of shoes and clothing for upcoming photoshoots. Over the course of my internship, we tackled more than 20 projects featuring footwear from all Deckers Brands brands including Hoka, Ugg, Teva, KoolaBura, Sanuk, and Ahnu. I worked closely with both photographers and retouchers to bring these projects to fruition. By the conclusion of my time at Deckers, I had developed a thorough understanding of the distinct personality and style of each brand.

Marketing Intern

At Sun & Swell, a sustainable snack food start-up, I gained valuable experience in e-commerce, digital marketing, and social media marketing. In the realm of e-commerce, I focused on optimizing our Shopify website to enhance customer satisfaction and manage orders efficiently. Using Klayvio, I designed playful and compelling email marketing campaigns, sending them out bi-weekly to our customers and subscribers. Additionally, I produced numerous Instagram reels and posts to educate our audience about the company, its mission, and its values. As part of a small start-up team, I had the opportunity to work closely with the founders, collaborating on strategies to reach and engage both existing and potential customers.

Merchandising Intern

Over the summer of 2023, I served as a merchandising intern at Pottery Barn, focusing on their home and decorative accessories division. Working closely with my manager, who oversaw purchases for wall hangings, mirrors, and frames, I gained insights into analyzing past customer buying patterns to optimize inventory for future sales. I also learned the intricacies of strategically purchasing inventory for upcoming seasons. Utilizing various Excel documents, engaging in collaborations, and conducting thorough research, I contributed to the selection process for Pottery Barn's Summer 2024 merchandise. Additionally, the internship afforded us the opportunity to identify and explore a "white space" within our departments, culminating in presentations of our findings to Williams Sonoma Inc. executives.

Marketing and Communications Intern

As the marketing and communications intern for SBLS, I created and sent emails to potential advertisers for the magazine. Through these emails, I successfully onboarded various advertisers. Furthermore, through a collaborative process, I reviewed the drafts of the magazine and was able to share my own ideas and perspectives.

Customer Success Specialist

At Clearco, a start-up dedicated to funding direct-to-consumer e-commerce ventures, I engaged with numerous aspiring entrepreneurs, guiding them through the onboarding process to secure funding. This experience provided me with valuable insights into the intricacies of entrepreneurship and the dynamic e-commerce landscape. Working closely with my colleagues in customer success, I gained an appreciation for the importance of a strong and responsive customer support system.
